Today would have been the 65th birthday of underground musician Daniel Johnston. His drawing of Jeremiah the Frog has been moved off Guadelupe street, victim of relentless gentrification in Austin. It is a perfect metaphor for Johnston himself, who also didn't fit in the modern world.

At the WEF @mark-carney.bsky.social delivered a clear analysis of the demise of the rules-based order, and a proposal for what could come next. It will take an enormous effort to convince smaller NATO allies that Pax Americana is dead, but this must be repeated.
