headscratchers: wikipedia is insanely valuable but does not charge a subscription to use it. tvtropes, which has demonstrably affected media literacy and overuse makes you view things by a list of tropes rather than as it is, does.
TV Tropes is blocking access to the site not only if you have ad blockers on but location tracking off unless you want to subscribe to their $5 a month/$25 a year subscription plan. Even people who have turned their ad blockers off are reporting the site isn’t working. This all seems like a bad idea
