I used to love seeing George Wallace on tv when I was a kid because he reminded me a bit of my grandfather, and now I just love seeing him anywhere because he’s just out here dropping gems like this.
Just accidentally texted Steve Harvey the plans for my invasion of France. I'd appreciate privacy during this difficult time and whatnot.

Canadian tourists to Chicago have always been some of my favorite guests to serve. Always warm, friendly, and up for a chat. I’m sad that I probably won’t see any of them for the next four years.

this is where the analogy to Brexit is really useful. A similar attitude that the US is completely self-sufficient and needs nothing from anyone. Too bad a lot of innocent people are gonna find out the hard way that this isn’t true.
There are going to be, I believe, a cascade of economic issues this summer related to the tourist industry. Fewer people will come here to travel. Fewer people will come here to work within the industry.
a friend flying home to the US from Heathrow texts from the runway: “I don’t think I’ve been on such an empty flight since October 2001. I wonder if people are reluctant to come to America now. It’s literally 5% full. If that."

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

Twitter is completely down and the price of Tesla is in full collapse. It's a bad day for Elon.

SCOOP—Emails obtained by Prem Thakker and Zeteo show Mahmoud Khalil reached out for help from the Columbia administration *one day before* ICE detained him.

He said he couldn't sleep from threats he was receiving.
He even wrote he feared ICE "might come to my home."

"I haven’t been able to sleep, fearing that ICE or a dangerous individual might come to my home. I urge you to intervene and provide the necessary protections to prevent further harm."

Very happy for these workers.
Every casino and resort on the Vegas Strip is now 100% union.

The Culinary and Bartenders Unions have reached an agreement with Fontainebleau Las Vegas, and for the first time in the 90-year history of the strip every establishment is totally unionized.

I heard from a wine and liquor rep today that he knows a lot of reps for agave spirits (mezcal, tequila) who have been laid off already because of the tariffs placed on Mexican products. It’s insane how many people are going to lose their jobs because of the whims of one very stupid man.

Apparently I once said to a friend, “Men should start in jail, and have to earn their way out.” I feel like I must’ve stolen that from somewhere because it’s hard for me to believe I came up with something that clever on my own.

Nothing to worry about here, just a political purge of our national security apparatus that will replace long-serving experts with dimwitted bootlickers.

I'm sure our safety and security won't be impacted at all.

I woke up before my alarm went off this morning, and I glanced at my phone for the news alerts. For some reason, my first thought was, “Damn, I was kinda hoping someone evil had died.” Not five minutes later, the news alerts about Jean-Marie LePen dying started rolling in.
