This is Goose. His stick didn't fit through the door at first. But Goose believed in himself, and more importantly, so did his doorman. 13/10 (TT: bigstickgoose)

It is now thought that the noise once believed to be the blood-curdling scream of the banshee haunting the Irish countryside is actually just the sound of women over the age of 30 wailing in agony due to constant back pain

Apparently people need to hear this: it's fine to organize your books however the fuck you want

Sorted in rainbow colors? Fine.
Spines facing wall? Fine.
A big pile on the floor? Fine.
Looming stacked towers? Fine.
Ordered by number of pages? Fine.
Alphabetically by the last letter? Fine.

Arcadian Nights 2025 in the Grand Social last Saturday. I missed the first few bands and the last few bands, managed to see eight bands though which is not bad, also took a lot of poor pictures. #thegrandsocial #badgigpics #punksky

Basically all manufacturers and retailers should be obligated to either collect their waste and broken products, or pay for others to deal with them.

You’d see an amazing display of innovation in efficient, repairable and recyclable products and packaging.
I still wish we could set up a system where package delivery came with up “pickup empties” option, like milk deliveries use to have.

You bring me a new box, I give you some empty boxes!

Books 34-37 of 2025. I bought Daisy Jones few years ago but only got around to reading it now. The two Folklore books I bought from the Halloween alternative market last year. And The Diary of a Bookseller was a delight, will definitely read the other two from him. #booksky 📚 #books #kirjataivas

I had the real pleasure of having lunch with Miriam Margolyes today, and as we left the restaurant, an old man started playing Hava Nagila loudly on his phone and calling Miriam a “self hating Jew!” - presumably for her stance on Palestine. It was upsetting but she brushed it off, undeterred

Makers Market at Bolands Mills yesterday. Plenty of stalls, great vibe, loved the little photobooth (pity about the cold wind though). #bolandsmills #thebirdsandtheteas #sundaymarkets

Books 29-32 of 2025. The Lamplighters was totally different to what I expected. Hawksmoor was a quick read, whereas The Crimson Petal was a very slow one. Finally there's Johanna Sinisalo's fantasy classic which I finally read as it was recently reissued in English. #booksky 📚 #books #kirjataivas

Trump, a Jeffrey Epstein partner, blames Ukraine for being invaded and declares only Zelenskyy can end the war by surrendering and forfeiting Ukrainian territory, natural resources, homes, and more than 30,000 children stolen and trafficked by Russia.

Trump stands behind Russia.
