1.Marburg in Tanzania
On Jan 20, Tanzania confirmed an outbreak of Marburg Virus Disease (MVD) in Kagera region after a positive case was identified. This marks the nation's 2nd MVD outbreak, following the 2023 Bukoba outbreak (9 cases, 6 deaths).
