I was right this minute years old when I learned that Indigenous Americans were trafficked and enslaved OUTSIDE of North America.

More than 50K Native Americans were shipped overseas.

I had no idea.

I’ve often wondered why Nigel Farage, who as godfather of the Brexit fiasco engineered the biggest British foreign policy disaster since Suez is continually offered so much space in some newspapers and broadcast media. Serious question. Thoughts welcome.

Hahahah this leaves Pyongyang in the shade, how incredibly sickening. And they actually clap.
Good lord. This is Pyongyang level sycophancy.

Profoundly important from @davidallengreen.bsky.social. The lack of meaningful restraints against executing power in our system leaves us utterly exposed in the face of a Reform government. They could do whatever they want.

Yes, an incoming illiberal and radical UK government would have absolute constitutional power
Only good fortune has prevented previous governments from misusing our constitutional arrangements more than they did

I don’t need a self driving car. I need a vehicle that runs between major areas and can transport large numbers of people at once to reduce environmental impact…wait it’s a train. I’m describing trains.
Build more goddamned TRAINS, America.

Sit down with a good book and read it, refuse to budge. You may put it down and then pick it up again, but persevere. it's up to you.

Today I was in a school library with a trained librarian. The school includes unhoused children and the kids of university professors. Watching how the librarian made all the kids feel welcome. Seeing the stiff, tense, worried body language soften. As they saw, maybe there is a space for me here. 💜

Well in that case Ansaki Devout is worth a read, they ban it without actually bannning it which is worse as it's insiduous and scarey because it gives you an idea of their power, today.

Let’s be clear: deporting Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda makes no sense—it’s not his home country. Nothing about this process has been fair. ICE is targeting him with cruelty. This is the weaponization of government, not justice.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia detained by ICE during Baltimore check-in
The detention, which was expected, happened after Abrego Garcia walked into the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Baltimore for a check-in after being released from custody on Friday.
