No it isn’t.

How have we got to the point that this is what Google is now? You fumble a search and suddenly your typo is imagined into a line from Alan Partridge by a senile computer and the big wigs at Google are like “yeah that’s fine… carry on”

Last year Andrea* received this from HMRC. £9,595 penalties for not filing a tax return

But Andrea suffered from mental health difficulties for years, earning almost no income. She owed zero tax

Over the last 5 years, 600,000 penalties have been issued to people like Andrea

I say it most days, but now will commit.

I’ve known Robert Prevost for years as one of the main figures in online TMNT fandom, where no one has a bad word to say about him. He probably won’t have as much time to contribute to Turtles wikis with his new gig but I though his choice of “Pope Leo” was a lovely nod to the community

Trump forgetting he is supposed to call it a special military operation, not a war.
Trump has fully turned on Zelenskyy: "He's always looking to purchase missiles. Listen, when you start a war, you gotta know you can win a war. You don't start a war against somebody that's 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles."

Hull derby, Grand National at Aintree, Gladiators from Sheffield. It's going to be a cracking day of sport in the North.

Leeds letting the side down. Every other Yorkshire team won in Super League this weekend (or were beaten by another Yorkshire team). Pathetic.

15+ years old, but still VERY relevent — and if we had acted 15 years ago, the “better world” we’d be creating would be a LOT better & easier to reach. There are real consequences we’re just starting to see to not heeding this cartoon a lot sooner. Even worse if we don’t heed it now. #ClimateCrisis

20 YEARS AGO TODAY: the start of the show that brought us the phrase "it's like something out of Nathan Barley", Nathan Barley. Criticised in some quarters at the time as years past its target's peak, it now seems more like 15-20 years ahead of its time.
Nathan Barley - Episode 1
After publishing a rant about 'idiots' - frantically hip, ignorant scenesters - Dan Ashcroft finds these same people embracing him as his idol and his nerves...
