The Government intends to overturn Sheffield's 2021 Referendum vote in which we decided we wanted ALL 84 Councillors to have a meaningful say in the way the City is run rather than just a leader & a handful of others.
Sheffield voters-we need you to write to your MP’s about this.

No second state visit for Trump
Unbelievable. Keir Starmer has handed Donald Trump a letter from King Charles, inviting him for a second state visit to the UK. It’s totally unprecedented, and should not go ahead.  This is the...

Labour are backtracking on a plan to help save birds: by blocking a new rule that would make developers put a £35 nest brick in every new home. They think it'll help win them votes - we need to show it would do the opposite. Sign the petition 38d.gs/ky2i

Swifts have lost more than half their population in 20 years. A simple £35 brick in new builds could help save them. Labour used to support this – now they’re planning to backtrack. Sign the petition ...

40% of the UK's universities are now running deficits. Next year, it is expected that 75% will. How long is it before some begin to go bust as a result of UK government policy?

Might some of the UK's universities go bust because of the crises now hitting the sector?

Richard your ideas about what Labour should be doing with money/ tax are starting to be adopted by journalists who didn’t challenge Starmer and Reeves about this last year. Well done, you were right as usual (although it must have been deeply annoying). @richardjmurphy.bsky.social

The government was right to welcome Ukrainian refugees fleeing war.

There is only one reason that people in Gaza, displaced by a genocide that our government abetted, are treated differently.

That reason is anti-Palestinian racism.

In the 2024 election, some of us urged a vote for the Greens or independents.

We said that this was the only way to build pressure on Labour, otherwise they would just act on pressure from Nigel Farage.

Next time, maybe listen to us.
