Small glimmer of hope: ran into fmr student. She's been wanting to get in touch with me, been doing a lot of thinking (I was her tchr 3 yrs ago) & realizes she was WRONG in her thinking, politically. If she can get there in our small, insulated, conservative IN town, others can too. Don't give up.

They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.
