Further steps in the creeping invasion and occupation of Palestine and the ethic cleansing of that country. This is a decades long operation - a slow motion land grab and crime against humanity and international law.

The government are reportedly planning on moving some asylum seekers from hotels to military bases...

How about, rather than shipping a few hundred people off to military sites, we let asylum seekers work and contribute to our society and fix our broken asylum system? 🤔

Very good passage on Farage. "Decline is good for their business... When was the last time you heard Nigel Farage say anything positive about Britain's future? He doesn't like Britain... He wants you to doubt it as much as he does."

"Brexit lies on the side of that bus," Starmer says, mocking populist rhetoric, "click here for your new country". Very rare moment of criticism of Brexit from him.

If Starmer came out and announced:

- Closure of X
- Full investigation into Nigel Farage's ties to the Kremlin
- Leveson 2
- Full review into the BBC's News/Political output
- Renaming of GB News to KGB News
- Re-entry to the Customs Union

His approval rating would be in the plus by next week!

Before anyone in the U.K. loses their marbles over ID, whether digital or not, I’d like to say that living in France as I do where I have a residency card, and a health card, I’m all in favour. Both significantly help to smooth and oil the relevant wheels.

It is a real joy! Sadly, our large fig tree has died this summer, possibly succumbing to la sécheresse. Gorging on our neighbour’s, so off to buy a new one next week!
Of the myriad of joys that come with human existence, eating ripe figs straight from the tree in the warm sunshine of late September must rank pretty highly

One of the lovely protestors I met was Maggie from Bham, who told me she came to London because she has been feeling more and more passionate about wanting to change things and make her voice heard. Amazing to chat to her about the ways we can all inspire each other to fight for change!

You know what, yeah, people have concerns. They're concerned about paying bills, renting or buying a house, buying food, getting an NHS appointment etc. None of that's down to migrants.
If you attend a rally organised by Tommy Robinson, don't play the "legitimate concerns" card. You're a racist. 1/
Ranvir Singh: "I don't want to believe that 150,000 people are out & out racists.. the worry for me is that somebody whos got a concern.. they end up being [represented by] someone whos very extreme"

Absolutely, the far right is using issues like the boats to radicalise people

Utterly ridiculous. 12 votes in the Commons tonight means 3 hours of tedious trudging through voting lobbies. What a total waste of time and energy when MPs could do it in 3 minutes with a modern voting system. It’s long past time to drag Parliament into the 21st century.

As in Iford Manor near Westwood, Wiltshire?
Stunning day at the Garden Museum Literary Festival at Iford Manor. Yes, there was a little rain, but not enough to dampen spirits. Talks were fabulous. Lunch was outstanding. Company is epic. Can’t think why absolutely everyone isn’t there!
