Very polite trick or treaters this year. A few forgot to say "Trick or treat?" but all said, "Thank you!"
Plus, even though I always let the kids choose their candy no one tried to grab a handful. Each one just took two (I offer two) except for the children who only took one.

It's possible my new Halloween-friendly novella, Hornytown Chutzpah's making a Weird Waldo-like appearance this weekend at #WorldFantasy. Okay, it's more of a reference than an appearance, but still find the @atthisarts.com table, ask them about their catalog, and if you find it post a picture.

Not sure if other audio book narrators feel this way, but it turns out that the hardest lines are not the monologues or technobabble. The hardest lines are often the one-word sentences.
I think it's because so much nuance and subtext are funneled into those one-word bits of dialogue.

Yesterday, we riddled through the rituals and rites and rules of rhyme in children's books. I think the class got a lot out of it.
Throughout the lecture, I kept crediting @rachelkolar.bsky.social. Her discussion @scbwi.bsky.social remains one of the best I've heard on any writing topic ever.

You sometimes forget how quick and witty Jim was. So fun.
This is the very first appearance of Dr. Teeth, on March 18, 1975, promoting the upcoming MUPPET SHOW: SEX & VIOLENCE special. It’s remarkable to see how comfortable Jim Henson was both performing & improvising this brand new character, & just how fully-formed he already was...
