Is there anyone worse than someone who says “source” to everything?
And then tries to justify it as “unmasking”?
Being an edge lord doesn’t make one an autistic self-advocate.
It’s actually just masking a whole new way.
It’s not actually meeting the need.
It’s driving the mask further on.
And then tries to justify it as “unmasking”?

This is one of the great contradictions of AI: just as "science of reading" is taking off and a lesson is/was supposed to have been learned about edutrends that aren't supported by extensive, valid research, schools are jumping on AI, which is untested, unproven, and underregulated.

There’s no such thing as the “genuinely disabled”
Disability is dynamic
Some disabilities are invisible. Some change day to day
You won’t always know a person is disabled unless they tell you
It’s a minority group you can join at any time, not a moral failing.

As someone who's using Gemini as a therapist of sorts (among other things, minus AI art parts), I am taking down notes on the horrors.
Reading this paragraph--written by the editors of Wired, the most well-known tech publication--at BOE meetings in districts rushing AI seems like a good idea.
Ask why they are treating children like guinea pigs while pretending they can predict a future those most knowledgable about tech cannot.

hello @storacha.network! is there any way to update the email address I use to sign into Console + apps integrate with the Storacha SDKs or is it technically locked by design at UCAN level?

When one autistic person shares their experience, it doesn’t make anyone else’s experience less valid.
Their truth doesn’t erase yours.
And when you share your own story, remember that it’s yours alone to tell, not everyone’s.

Most autistic humans are taught to manage their nervous systems through compliance.
We’re taught to adapt, to blend, to perform calmness in order to be acceptable.
But regulation in the autistic sense isn’t about managing appearances or achieving a neurotypical version of stability.

hi @zimbatm.bsky.social, may I ask if the source repository for the Discourse bot for the Nix community (aka the nixos-discourse GitHub bot) is public?
I have plans to (actually) implement it for @hackclub.com's Slack community, so I'm curious about how it works behind the scenes.
