This is one of the great contradictions of AI: just as "science of reading" is taking off and a lesson is/was supposed to have been learned about edutrends that aren't supported by extensive, valid research, schools are jumping on AI, which is untested, unproven, and underregulated.

And the "personalized learning" that AI-in-schools boosters tout can become an abusive push to perfectionism as it treats children like adult employees with "targeted goals."
