Ran into one of these in Jamaica years ago. The family was just speaking of how rare they were, but very poisonous. And then bam! I'm in the shower and one crawls along the lime tree branch dangling inside an open window and right into the tub with me!

Perfect example of why we need the IRA reinstated to help accelerate EV adoption.
Our exciting new report, “Ready for Work 2.0”, shows electric truck adoption is increasing! 📈Our analysis shows that electric trucks meet the range and payload requirements of most US fleets today, but key policies are necessary to accelerate adoption.
Ready for Work 2.0
Electrifying our on-road freight system is the surest way to reduce truck pollution and improve air quality, and the impacts on climate.

So important given the challenges faced by local communities in Hawai'i. Globally folks are merely existing in the shadows of tourism. Local indigenous communities must be at the forefront of conservation, planning & reap economic benefits. #regenerativetourism bigislandnow.com/2025/02/11/h...

Blended finance and impact investing works best where the endeavors are driven by participatory community engagement, ecosystems restoration and regenerative approaches. There are a few good examples. However, many of these projects are centered on corporate interests primarily which is the problem.

Is Ikigai overhyped? Saw a video from someone in Japan amused by how the West uses it for self-help. Really, it’s about everyday joys—a meal you’re excited for or time with friends. Still, in times like these I love using it w/ student/clients for personal development. I’m rolling with it! #Ikigai

If the community were interested why not have them own the site and lease part of the land for profit and had share in the proceeds from the tour operations— but only if they were truly aware of the pros and cons, if it aligned with their values and long-term goals and had shared decision making.
