One of the lesser discussed aspects of 'AI' is that a lot of the ways people imagine it working only function if it was actual, real sentient life.
And if that were the case they would be enslaving it do to things they find too boring to do.

It's somehow ALWAYS the job of the protesters to de-escalate as if we're the ones with the tear gas, rubber bullets, tanks, and a proven record of murder. Cops however are ungovernable rabid dogs, who collect salaries from us but over whom we have absolutely no control. Good deal huh?

After several unmarked DHS vehicles had their windows smashed, DHS is now deploying infantry-style escort tactics to walk vehicles into and out of the area.
These CBP officers look absolutely sweaty and miserable as the crowd lets them hear it. It's too hot to wear masks. (sound on for A+ heckling)

A lot of organizers on here have being saying 1) do SOMETHING and 2) that building meaningful relationships with our neighbors *is* doing something.
And if that seems cute or like cope, well.

The most striking thing about the LA protests is how many people just dropped everything to show up and yell at federal agents. There are people in suits, and carrying dogs, and wearing flip flops or bike helmets.
These are not people who planned to do this today. But there they are.
