Superstar Car Wash sounds like a late-90s/early-00s TV drama soundtrack (neutral)

Lonerism stopped me in my tracks (complimentary). Apparently im a sucker for synths...

Mordechai is after lunch
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Shake Your Money Maker by the Black Crowes. Superstar Car Wash by the Goo Goo Dolls, Lonerism by Tame Impala, Mordechai by Khruangbin, Blackstar by Mos Def and Talib Kweli, Shrines by Purity Ring and Dear Science by TV on the Radio. Enjoy!

Give me album recommendations. Any or all:

Easy: any album you recommend from any artist

Medium: it was released pre-2000

Hard: its not a mainstream/well-known album, even if the artist is

I'll listen to them at work!

Probably a cow, or a horse

Or a Great Dan the size of a horse my high school buddy had
What's the largest mammal you've ever touched with your hands?

Tea has been spilled at work. Suspicions have been confirmed. High school truly does never end (for some people)

Silver lining: I interact with exponentially fewer people like that now.

LMAO no fucking way did California just release a radio ad that sounds JUST LIKE a jewelry store commercial!

Its about data privacy in the end, but literally "they got me in the first half, not gonna lie" meme IRL

How do trees and politics interact?

Trees are considered infrastructure to cities. Cities are politics

Some cities lay out well-planned budgets and Urban Forestry plans

Some cities are more reactionary and wait for things to happen before tre maintenance, like limbs falling or a tree dying

I am pleased to announce that I average only about 8% of my writing that *could be* AI-generated. I took various old writings of mine, some from 10+ years ago and ran them through a checker.

Thats not too bad. Some of my newer writings even got 0%.

US is a monarchy now, huh?
“Blending family and governance”, @nytimes.com? Really? Is that how you spell “corruption” in NYC?

Its amazing how much better my mental health is after being switched positions at work

Its literally night and day. I actually have space in my head for family and friends

Also, I may have had a toxic relationship with my former position....

Church actually warned me about shit like this when I was growing up. As early as the mid-90s

Im not religious anymore (at least traditionally) so that makes funny AND sad at the same time

Resident: "Are you with PG&E?"

"You are a welcome guest at any..."

If im understanding correctly, the list before the underlined portion is other places they can go.

The system that protects these pedophiles and rapists is global in reach. And idk if everyone realizes that
November 12, 2025 at 7:48 PM
We have pedophile rapist politicians who protect their own

It takes a "Support and Sympathy" system for these things to continue. (This is what I called it in my hear while typing this post. Idk if thats actual terminology)
We have a pedophile rapist president.

Car was tailgating me while I was going 10 over the limit

So i move over to let them pass, and i see the "Police" decals

Anyway, I tailgated them for like 10 miles, still going 10-15 over

Its like, what are we doing here? Why is a cop approaching criminal speed as a regular vehicle in traffic?

Republicans are literally getting booed in public by their own constituents and Democrats caved. Democrats will never hold power in the federal government ever again. A permanent minority party that will make sure that no party that actually opposes fascism can be viable. Collaborators for fascism.

Democrats just caved

Love it when a search result is like "Its best to consult a Certified Arborist for what you're trying to do"

Like mfer thats me!! I've already consulted myself and idk the answer. Now Im ATTEMPTING to consult the cumulative knowledge of humanity. You're not being helpful with that atm

(Rant over)

10 minutes *before* my shift: drinks a metric shit ton of coffee before starting work

30 minutes *into* my shift, thinking: "Why do I need to go to the bathroom so damn bad?"

-shrugs and continues drinking coffee-

My god, the stress level difference between my old position and my current one is literally night and day

Its more lonely because im not with a crew all day, but thats also what makes it less stressful: nobody to be responsible for except me
November 5, 2025 at 6:46 AM
So is this due to ads, or is this due to Google/YouTube pushing right-wing media onto their viewers?

I watch/listen up to 8 hours of YouTube a day sometimes, but I dont allow ads and I do my best to stay away from anything remotely right-wing.

(Does Warhammer lore count as right-wing...?)

Old job: Managing a crew of 3-4 other people, inc. keeping morale up, training, minimize downtime, hit Q̶u̶o̶t̶a̶s̶ - "job goals" of X # of trees per person per day

New job: Look at tree, input data about tree, walk to next tree, repeat. Track progress digitally, manage a crew of 1, (me) Job goals? 🤷‍♂️
New adventures await Monday morning! Easier work, AND more in align with my new A.S. in GIS degree!

(I got moved areas and positions, so now I've got data collection position like 50 miles south from where I *was* running a production crew up until now.)

They really want people to starve don’t they
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

millions of americans are jumping into nazi shit with eyes wide open, simply because it feeds the black hole in their hearts that will do *anything* to feel even an ounce of violent dominance

you cannot fix them with simple education, you have to entirely rebuild their personalities

(or… you know)
Evidently there was an Auschwitz-themed float in a Halloween parade in Pennsylvania.

The float was for a Catholic school, and to their credit the church immediately disavowed it.

Thing is, I don’t think high school kids did this entirely on their own. I’m guessing parents had to be involved.
