This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/o...

Behind the absolutely unhinged delivery there is a simple truth: Trump’s corruption is helping his friends and family while things are getting worse for you and yours.

He’s failing you because he doesn’t care about you.

The environmental risks posed by deep-sea mining extend far beyond destruction of seabed habitats. New research from the University of Hawaii at Manoa affirms that plumes of sediment from mining operations pose a real threat to life in the ocean water column. bit.ly/47ZsxOi #DSM #SeabedMining
Deep-sea mining risks disrupting the marine food web, study warns
Drilling for minerals deep in the ocean could have immense consequences on the tiny animals at the core of the vast ocean food web — and ultimately affect fisheries and the food we find on our plates.

It all would have been much easier if, as would have happened if we were remotely a serious country, it all ended with the Access Hollywood interview.

Long time listener, first time caller, just out of curiosity, what happens when Senators continue to confirm a lawless President’s appointments? I’ll hang up and listen.
This is what happens when Congress allows the President to appoint his criminal defense lawyers to run the Justice Department.

This is the facility that I and many others have been protesting. We’ve been hit, thrown, gassed, and shot with pepper bullets but none of that holds a candle to what is being done to people *in* the actual facility.

Read this thread. Don’t look away. Keep your eyes and the pressure on Broadview.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Nothing’s scarier than waking up in a country where people lose their voice and freedom. Fair elections keep the monsters out.

NC, MO & TS erased their Democratic districts. Prop 50 lets voters approve the maps—fair, transparent, and democratic.

BREAKING: President Trump launched his biggest attack ever on climate action.

His EPA is trying to reverse its own scientific conclusion that greenhouse gas emissions—and climate change—are dangerous. It’s another handout to Big Oil, and it could end the EPA’s ability to fight global warming.
