The police are allowed to lie to you. They do so all the time. This is both legal, and culturally accepted as standard police work. No one will frown on them lying to you. A judge will not admonish them. What you say after they lie to you will not get thrown out of court on that pretext alone.

Something that is constantly missing from the conversation on drugs: not everyone is suffering. Drugs are pretty awesome. This whole drugs are bad narrative is a bunch of Prohibitionist nonsense. All drugs have purpose, strengths and limitations.
