Just got back from the federal building in downtown San Diego where our local bishop and other church leaders were leading a vigil for the immigrants unjustly incarcerated there. The leadership the church has shown on this issue is inspiring.

Collected zinnia and marigold seeds, packaged up pepper and zucchini seeds, and wrapped up geraniums in paper to overwinter. That last is a first for me and will be a fun experiment to see if it works! 🌱

It's Oct - breast cancer awareness month. And this year, I have a personal connection. Yesterday I had a lumpectomy to remove ductal carcinoma. It was caught early thanks to my annual mammogram. So, don't forget to get whatever test you should have when it's due. Early detection saves lives. #dcis
