It's also as ugly as fuck
Germans don't like shoddy cars.

"Tesla Model Y ranked last for reliability among nearly new cars in Germany's TÜV 2026 report.
17.3% of Model Ys failed serious safety inspections; common issues included brakes and suspension."

Tesla Model Y Posts Worst Defect Rate of Any New Car in a Decade
Tesla Model Y reliability just hit rock bottom in Germany’s TÜV Report 2026, with the worst defect rate in a decade. Here’s why that matters to you.

They’re all on about the poor landlords selling up and leaving the market. Yet to see even one piece about the thousands of tenants across the country handed or about to be handed eviction notices or what they’re going to do next. Not one.

This is just dreadful. What a mess, feel so so sorry for everyone facing eviction notices coming up to Christmas. It's shameful the trauma ppl are being put through. #Speirgorm #Housinhcrisis. RTE news : Early blow for rent reforms by exodus of small landlords

Every word of this. I fill a trolley for the VdeP every Christmas and I include my son in the process and I am KILLED every year impressing upon him that we shouldn't have to do this, that most ppl who use that service work hard, but wages are low and rent is high and the State should do more.
🧵 As we look towards the #LateLateToyShow next week, it's time to remember that everyone - including the State - will expect us all to donate generously to the very worthy causes supported financially by the Toy Show Appeal. Let's think about this.

Few saw it, but Ireland rounded out 2025 with a win over Hungary in Marbella this afternoon.

Abbie Larkin starred in the behind-closed-doors international friendly, bagging a goal and an assist, with Kyra Carusa and Denise O'Sullivan also on target.

"Stamdards". The irony 🤦‍♀️
Applying for the funds is relatively straightforward, as such funding application processes go. There is a process. Not just anyone can apply - certain criteria must be met. There are checks. Stamdards. Accountability. Not every cost is eligible for funding. ✅️

The government are playing hot potato with people's lives. They clearly intend to land the next government with a problem so monstrous it will be difficult for them to demonstrate progress.
They're doing it with homelessness, but they're also doing it with healthcare, climate change and more.

Ireland needs a state construction company. It won't solve our problems on its own, but it's part of the solution.
I firmly believe the government are refusing to establish one because it will take more time to establish than they have left as leaders. #spéirgorm

Case taken in January, State doesn't bother to file their opposition papers until June, the case is immediately heard in July and judgment delivered in November. An Bord Pleanála took three years to make a decision. But JRs are the problem?

There is a very concerted effort by people who stand to profit from it to have judicial reviews abolished and I think a lot of public commentators have tricked themselves into thinking this is the One Neat Trick to Fix the Every Crisis Without Changing the Political Status Quo

Shameless Garda PR blitz links road deaths to visibility issues in cases where there is no link
Comment & Analysis: Sadly, I have to start this article by saying, for the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this article says 'don't be visible'. Lights are a legal requirement, and it'd be a good start if the Gardai enforced them, and people walking should take steps to be visible on unlit roads. I get it, nobody likes it when people are walking on unlit roads in the dark without lights and wearing dark clothing, and it's annoying when some cyclists think they are ninjas.

And as usual, barely a man to be found in the comments.

When vile, scary shit like this is highlighted, men are always *wildly* conspicuous by their absence, when we most need them to be speaking up and saying "this is not fucking okay".
This is NOT okay. 🤬

No woman should be subjected to inappropriate remarks from a #taxi driver. There is a power imbalance between driver & passenger & a lone female passenger is in a vulnerable position. His comments were frightening. 🚩

If anyone sees this (exact) product in a shop anywhere on the island of Ireland, can you please let me know?

It's been discontinued (apparently temporarily), then allegedly returned, but is nowhere to be found. There have been sightings, but none by me, and I'm *desperate*.

"General sports fans can happily go months without giving a second thought to what happens when eight big galoots bend at the waist and bate headfirst into eight other big galoots."

Magnificent, but a well-argued column. Scrums are absolutely a mystery to most of us.

Like for real, I haven't seen a single thing in the media for ages about Sally Rooney except in the context of the Brits doing the will-we-won't-we dance about banning her books. Couldn't have come up with better marketing if you were her biggest fan
Advisor: Last time we tried charging Irish artists with terrorism offenses over trivial nonsense it ended up massively boosting their profile and embarrassing the government
