It gives me no pleasure to have been right on this, because handing such an early victory to Trump is bad for everyone. I only hope the conditions of the military deportation flights will now improve.

He's unpopular and politically hamstrung, and his anti-Americanism is at odds with Colombia's political and business elites, who are deeply aligned with the US.
