I was reminded of this today when I went bouldering because, before I even got to the climbing gym, I tweaked my neck due to the enormous strain of… turning briefly to look at something behind me. 🙄

Only did 2 bouldering problems today because on the down-climb for the second one I suddenly felt my knee go TWINGGG and I learned my lesson last year: joint feels weird, you do not climb “just one more,” you pack up and you go home IMMEDIATELY.

Aurora (maybe?) near San Mateo just before 11 pm local time. Not at all visible to the naked eye with so much ambient light, and I had to reeeeeally torture the photo adjustments to bring it out, but I do think I managed to catch something.

My husband’s mom always used to send him off to school telling him to “have the best day ever!”
She’s gone now, and the world is so much different than it used to be, but to honor her I always tell him to “have the best day possible!” as he walks out the door in the mornings.
