I notice Farage is absent, again. He's probably not in Clacton either.
Today MPs voted in favour of the 10 minute rule bill on a new UK-EU Customs Union. A new arrangement would help reduce economic burdens and create a more reliable system for exporters. With the economic pressure increasing, Parliament needs to act.

It's so sad to see American democracy hanging by thread.

“Over the last 70 years, the #ECHR has repeatedly stepped in when domestic courts were unable to provide the protection we now take for granted and cherish,” says the UK’s outgoing judge at the European Court of Human Rights👇

ECtHR 'more necessary and relevant' now, says outgoing UK judge
Leading silk says he 'hardly recognises' the good work of the ECHR from recent criticism of Strasbourg court.

Public servants serve the community not the other way around. It's not a difficult concept to grasp.
Citizens demanding transparency and lawfulness from their public servants.

📢This is the way.

This is not a border crossing.
There’s no law that any of us have to show our papers on the interior.

This is a blatant civil rights violation. How is anyone supposed to know whether this man is a real ICE agent or just pretending to be one?!

BREAKING: Sharia law is not and has never been enforced in any American state, in the UK. in Sweden, in Germany...
Local law applies in all those places.
Just as it always has done.
The cost of homeowners and auto insurance in FL is insane, but Republicans are always laser focused on the important distractions from all that stuff.

Journalist Edward R. Murrow used his platform on CBS to criticize the witch hunts led by Senator Joseph McCarthy in the 1950s.

This is what real journalism should do — hold power to account, not capitulate to it.

Is there a reason I ask that the Times are using a picture of asylum seekers in a boat to describe rules for migrants who came on legal routes such as skilled worker visas for doctors?
Tough new conditions to be imposed on migrants who want to settle in the UK will not apply to more than a million people who arrived in the UK under the post-Brexit immigration surge
Labour’s tough new rules will not apply to migrants already in UK

Banksy's artwork is much more cultural and much more patriotic than some flag.

It should be shown off, do we have Free Speech or not?

Why can’t the UK’s media and politicians call out Farage like this man?

There are only two possibilities.

They are hapless or they support him.

Words fail me.
Cooper in 2021: "If there arent the safe legal routes for family reunion we end up with more people being driven into the arms of criminal gangs"

Cooper yesterday: "we are bringing forward new rules to temporarily suspend new applications under the existing family reunion route"

Say it again, and again, and again. They are not "illegal immigrants".

-seeking asylum is legal and has been since 1951.

This legally trumps all arguments of “but they arrived by illegal means”. That’s just a fact. That’s why you don’t see asylum seekers arrested & charged. Our MSM must do better.
Silencing the drumbeat again: seeking asylum is legal
Hundreds protested in Ashington against so-called "illegal immigrants" - though seeking asylum has been legal since 1951

I was asked a few years ago to put together what could be classed as a "red team" briefing on how the smuggling gang's business model could be reinforced by government policy. Guess what? It pretty much matches exactly with this, and the previous, governments' anti-asylum policies. #r4today
The main issue facing any UK government isn't actually the number of people seeking asylum, in the grand scheme, proportionally, we aren't talking about huge figures, especially when compared per capita to countries such as France, but the constant images we see in the media. 1/

As long as guns are easily available to crazy people, mass killings directed at so-called soft targets will continue. This is a fact. Countries where it's more difficult for crazy people to obtain guns have less shootings. This is also a fact. Do with these facts as you will.
