One of the main villains from my last D&D campaign. We wrapped up with an epic last stand the other night, but this one got away. Teleport is a handy spell for the antagonist to have.

Traditional pencils and ink.

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Donkey Kong Bananza, when you get the first transformation, is that theme song performed by Babymetal? It sure sounds like them, but I can't find an artist credit anywhere.

[Werner Herzog voice] Man thinks of the machine as his greatest creation, when in fact it is his downfall.

Artist! Quote with you most detailed art! 🎨

I'm not a details oriented artist, but I'm highlighting all the bicycles I drew for my Peloton of the Rings project. Getting these 2 choppers right was a bit of headache!

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).

And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, was compelled to travel forth, to ring the Bell of Awakening, to break the cycle of undeath.

Jesus, can you hear me? Good, the comms are working. Now, you're gonna need to run if you want to evade those Roman soldiers. Hold down A to sprint. Go ahead and try it. ... Good work! You just might be the savior yet. Now pick up that AR-15 and let's do some target practice.

I've posted my 'Terok Nor' art here before, but I wanted to port across the thread I wrote on Twitter for it, as it is perhaps still the best - and certainly the most elaborate - Star Trek work I've done to date. 🧵

Roasty Elves - Demi, Taz & Cherry

Christmas illustrations fro Quarter Horse Coffee . I wanted to do something Christmassy, but still use the QHC colour pallet.

All done in Clip Studio Paint.

not just in art, either, there are guys who would go around obsessively fixing every clogged pipe in a 10-mile radius if they had the free time and social infrastructure to do so

they didn't need AI to make Silksong, it just needed some deeply insane guys to have a blank check for living expenses until their next thing was done, I think we should try doing more of that instead

One of the most important lessons I learned at school is that the last few days before you break are for dossing about watching Shrek on the wheeley tele. So I do not appreciate my job exploding into drama right now.

Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man is fantastic. I went with a bunch of friends, all of us either practicing or ex-catholic, and it really landed for all of us. It really captures what is beautiful about the church, without shying away from its problems, but not beating the obvious old gripes either.

this is a good reminder of how things that are shitty but have been accepted as normal and inevitable can actually turn out to be abnormal and evitable with some science, time, education and political will

Coming back rested, had another run at the final boss, and remembered some of the tools beyond just arm cannon and strafe. Still not a fan of the overall boss design, but not as bad as my read on it yesterday.
Metroid Prime 4. I know game design is hard, any time something looks great and runs this smooth is a miracle. But WTF happened with this late game? It is bafflingly bad.

We spoke to a dozen professional concept artists who are currently or have previously worked in game development about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs any easier.

Zero said it did. Most said it made things harder.

Concept Artists Say Generative AI References Only Make Their Jobs Harder
“The ‘early ideation stages’, when worlds are being fleshed out by writers and artists, are literally crucial to the development of a game’s vision,” said one artist.
