The fact that this is even a debate shows how tied our elected officials are to making money off their insider information. Elected office is about public service not personal enrichment.
The House and Senate are back in session this week.

Who else thinks it's time to ban members of Congress from trading stocks?

I'm leading @oversightdemocrats.house.gov in urging Congressman Comer to allow survivors of Epstein's abuse the opportunity to testify before Congress, if they wish.

We can't continue to let our institutions shield powerful abusers & silence survivors.

This is unlawful blatant racist systemic voter suppression in real time.

Every worker should expect safety, dignity, and respect on and off the job.

But institutions have long shielded sexual abusers and silenced survivors.

Our bill is a critical step towards protecting workers and ensuring accountability for sexual discrimination, harassment, and abuse.
Pleased to team up with @ocasio-cortez.house.gov and @pressley.house.gov to reintroduce legislation that combats sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

We’re fighting for protections, transparency, and accountability for workers and the public.

The Israeli government is deliberately blocking aid from entering Gaza.

This is nothing short of a genocide, creating a man-made famine crisis to starve children and families. The US must use every tool available to urgently get critical aid into Gaza.

Statistics show crime has reduced in DC. I've seen several people on TV today stating they don't "feel comfortable" in DC at night. This seems to be a case of perception. Every one of those people that I've seen on TV are white. White people are scared of Black people. It's just that simple.

DC is a vibrant, historically Black community of residents who elected their own local leadership to guide their city.

While Trump is using the military to sow fear and chaos in our communities, I stand with the residents of DC.

President Trump once again catapulted crime in D.C. into the national conversation.

“It has become one of the most dangerous cities anywhere in the World,” he said in a Truth Social post.
