In the late 1800s, paleontologists were stumped by “Devil’s Corkscrews” - spiral fossil structures found in the 25 million-year-old rock of Nebraska. What made them? The answer was inside, burrowing beavers named Fossorcastor. The beavers burrowed close together in towns like modern prairie dogs. 🧪

I very much would like pseudoarchaeology to go away, for people to stop listening to hacks like Graham Hancock. Watch this video from Professor Dave and support real archaeologists like Flint Dibble @flintdibble.bsky.social ... www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK4F...

For a time I felt that I don't fit socially in the palaeontological sphere. Because I couldn't engage in casual spaces with bunch of palaeontologists, in pubs or socials. Just recently I've realised, that I wasn't the problem, I just don't feel comfortable in settings dominated by drunk English men.

We hope you like it!

Okay ONE MORE TIME:

"Kamala Harris" is a *perfect* rhyme for "Anomalocaris," the predatory arthropod that roamed the oceans 500 million years ago—in case anyone wants to start working on that campaign song.

so it turns out the daily wire people looked into pretending to be women to get into women's sports leagues but found out they couldn't because regulations required them to be on hormones and none of the cis men were willing to do that

E.D.G.E. tried to plagiarize my blog?
A recent (now taken down) upload by the paleontology channel E.D.G.E. used the extensive writings and research on my own blog as a basis, without (either int...
