In the late 1800s, paleontologists were stumped by “Devil’s Corkscrews” - spiral fossil structures found in the 25 million-year-old rock of Nebraska. What made them? The answer was inside, burrowing beavers named Fossorcastor. The beavers burrowed close together in towns like modern prairie dogs. 🧪

For a time I felt that I don't fit socially in the palaeontological sphere. Because I couldn't engage in casual spaces with bunch of palaeontologists, in pubs or socials. Just recently I've realised, that I wasn't the problem, I just don't feel comfortable in settings dominated by drunk English men.

so it turns out the daily wire people looked into pretending to be women to get into women's sports leagues but found out they couldn't because regulations required them to be on hormones and none of the cis men were willing to do that
