Last night's so-called deal was a tragically disappointing result for the millions of Americans who are facing higher health care costs next year, and for our efforts to confront this bully of a President. I voted no.

Let's talk about where we go from here. youtu.be/Zc-sUG6myqE?...

In what amounts to Mark Wolf’s resignation letter from the federal bench in Massachusetts forget more than 40 years—he was already a senior judge, so it creates no vacancy—he says he “intend[s] to advocate for the judges who cannot speak publicly for themselves.” www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

Who has copies of Epstein files?Victims have lists of names. Time to be reminded how Daniel Ellsberg leaked the Pentagon Papers to NYT who then, along with WP started publishing excerpts. And Alaska’s Sen Gravel put a lot into the Congressional Record. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentago...

wish i could figure out a way to send this to my GOP US Senator other than a URL he won’t open
after millions of views and shares of my Portland Frog art. (thank you all🙏🏾) I got requests to highlight priests, and chickens, and Chicagoans, and T-Rexes, and more… all of us who refuse to bend the knee. so this is for US.

When i tried to comment that I’d been thinking the same thing, it said the original had been deleted. @blackazizanansi.blacksky.app did you delete this yourself? Or was it more sinister?

It’s all about context. Mamdani’s programs should be normal in US.

This is the kind of graphic visualization of how the system is rigged to favor the wealthy that people can understand easily. We need more of this for folks who can’t read graphs.
Rep. @aftynbehn.bsky.social - Democratic TN-7 nominee - pulls out the mechanical bull 🐂 to make the point that our politicians are owned by billionaires— who gave $2 MILLION to Van Epps(stein Files) in the GOP primary, for some mysterious reason.

“The [Japanese] government has estimated the overall bear population at more than 54,000.” That’s a lot of bears. Japan is 377,975 km² while Alaska is (land only) 1,518,800 km² and Alaska estimates it has 134,000 bears. Something seems off. www.blm.gov/sites/defaul...

We need this in a graphic form that makes the obscenity of this obvious to everyone.
The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

This chart from the study which shows Alaska as a relatively minor player after 2011 and neck and neck with Texas before that, would probably surprise most Alaskans. [At least those who can read charts]

Understanding the level of ignorance is important so it can be addressed heads on without assuming people know what things like gerrymandering are.
The older folks live effectively in Germany, more or less, and the rest of us? Who knows.

The demand sıde. Exactly. Can’t sell something buyers don’t want.
If we were really interested in combatting addiction & the overuse of (legal & illegal) drugs in the US, we'd take a careful look at the demand side: increase residential treatment opportunities & funding (rather than cut health coverage), adopt evidence-based harm reduction efforts, & so much more.

Rep McCabe, in his ADN reply to Rep Gray writes “A 2024 Defense Department survey found that 15% of troops said DEI training split units, stealing time from combat skills.” 15% is nothing. It means 85% don’t agree. 10% believe the earth is flat. Should we throw out the idea the earth is round?
