my mind is blown by the idea that celeste speedrunning and live orchestra can be in the same building let alone performing together
hello edt canada~ i am not there yet (early flight sob) but i'm excited to be heading to kingston ontario for an event tomorrow!
a speedrunner will be playing celeste... while the kingston symphony plays the soundtrack LIVE?? it sounds unreasonable but i'm told they're actually doing it!

You really don't need to be religious to get this feeling of civic involvement. Whenever someone tells me they're lonely, I tell them to volunteer.
Help the homeless. Build queer community. Work with seniors. Do something to help people around you. Throw a party! Make friends. No church required.

Hard to deny that the collapse of civic life is connected to:
1) the collapse of religious involvement among younger generations
2) the total collapse of local and regional news organizations.
Everyone wants to solve the problem without reversing these two changes, but that's very hard.

everything seems fairly wrong and cruel right now. i don't think either Excessive Hope or Doom are useful. neither are really considerate to the world or the people around you, it's either just ignoring everything or giving up. be real and have each others backs. take care of each other
