This is just so nice. I've had to call my local sewer service more than once--it's *never* during regular business hours and they are always fast, helpful and kind. Perhaps it's a sewer thing? 🤔
this is not our customer service number. it’s just my voicemail inbox.

you’re welcome to call. i hope you do.

I very rarely go to the movies, but I went today to watch Hamilton on the big screen for the 10th anniversary and I loved it and I'm definitely making Hamilton my entire personality again for at least a week.

Chicago had one of the BIGGEST protests ever with thousands hitting the streets to stand up against the regime, DHS, ICE & Trump's war on the American people. History is being made in the streets.

Love to see this and I hope other Dems follow this example.
I really struck a nerve here. I stand by what I said.
FROST: "They say they're pro-life because they want the baby to be born, go to school and get shot in the school. Die in the school, die on the streets."

FOXX: "You are not going to come into this room and impugn our integrity!"

This is 100% true. It honestly just feels good to stand in a crowd of people who see the same things you see and want to resist. Helped that mine was lakeside on a beautiful day, but it would have been great in the rain too.
Especially if you're on the fence about it, protest today. Fascism is isolating and lonely. Its very goal is to make you feel like you're the only person unwilling to accept a cult of personality. On days like today you fully realize there are more of us than there are them. You will feel better.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

I already read the opinions of nonprofessionals. It’s called social media.
The Washington Post will sharply expand its opinion offerings, including with articles from other publications, according to people familiar with the plan. A final phase, allowing nonprofessionals to submit columns with help from an A.I. writing coach called Ember, could begin testing this fall.
The Washington Post Plans an Influx of Outside Opinion Writers
A new program, known internally as Ripple, would open The Post to journalists at other publications and influential writers on Substack.

Is this how we Make America Healthy Again?
🗣️President Trump’s proposed FY26 budget would roll back WIC's fruit and vegetable benefits to pre-2021 levels, before USDA’s science-based increase.

Breastfeeding moms would drop from $54 → $13
Young kids: $27 → $10

These cuts jeopardize early nutrition. Read the full NWA statement:

By cutting WIC’s Cash Value Benefits (CVB) for fruits and vegetables by two-thirds and reducing overall program funding, the proposal directly removes healthy food from the hands of low-income moms an...

Also means Vietnamese-made laptops have a lower tariff than Ethiopian coffee, Indian tea, & Guatemalan bananas

A nice change to watch an historical moment that is actually positive.
Sen. Cory Booker—a Black man—just BROKE segregationist Strom Thurmond's record for longest floor speech in US Senate history.

Thurmond spoke for 24 hours 18 minutes in opposition to civil rights.

Booker has now spoken for 24 hours and 19 minutes against Trump's abuses against Americans' rights.
