As a dual national with a wife about to start the ILR process, I'd be off and so would my kids (also dual national). Think my dad (here with ILR) and my siblings (also dual national) would be out too.
Reform's plans to end indefinite leave to remain go to the post I wrote last week on their slide towards chaotic authoritarianism.

The British constitution would allow them to do it if they had a majority but at vast cost to our society and way of life.

Essential piece for understanding the absurd lionising of Connolly. Well worth reading in full.

I go. I try. And I will keep trying, even though it feels like a losing battle. Because I remember the whole point of the far-right astroturfing of social media is to make it feel like a losing battle, to make us give up.

Anyway, a few snippets on small boat crossings and immigration.

This pretty much sums up cycling in Greenwich. This cycle lane closed for the past week because it's a place to store barriers.
August 18, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Greenwich not doing it as they'd have to admit their cycle infrastructure is shit. Ie, their main cycle lane has been blocked for the last 2 weeks due to the concerts happening in the University.
why are Santander bikes so biased in favour of east and west London? find it entirely mad that you can use one up until past Stratford or Hammersmith but it's still impossible to get one in Camberwell or Highbury & Islington, what's the reasoning there

even the map looks obviously unequal:

This shit doesn’t happen in France and I’ll tell you why: the rich went too far once and they cut all their heads off and now, when those in power fuck workers over, the French stop working. Don’t forget your real power Americans. They don’t let you have unions for a reason.
