I love Tolkien & other SFF books, Star Wars, fighting ascendent fascism, Legend of Zelda, FSU☠️& Commanders😬 football, and engine building board games.

But being a father and a husband is my greatest joy. It’s the best.

That’s tied with Mickey Mantle for the most before turning 28

like this is the most irresponsible level of hysteria i’ve ever seen. most of these people are either paid by the republican party, or are high level advisors and allies. this is insane

The US president trafficked & raped underage girls, the evidence is overwhelming, everyone knows it, and this country's elites & institutions are so broken, so insular, so decadent that we can't even bring ourselves to state it clearly, much less do anything about it.

Contemptible & pathetic.

One day there will be a museum detailing America’s descent into fascism before its eventual revival, and the refounding of the Republic. There’s gonna be a hallway you walk through with video playing of all the toadies and enablers that helped get us to this point. This is perfect for that exhibit.

He'll likely try this, but I think the real danger comes after the 2026 midterms.

Sure, they'll try to sway them with gerrymandering and "emergencies" that shut down polling places in key Democratic areas. But if Dems make real gains the current GOP majority can cry fraud and refuse to seat them.
At some point Trump is going to call for the removal from congress of dozens of Democrats, all of them accused of mortgage fraud, and Corporate Media will obsess over details of the accusations rather than just calling it a partisan purge and fascist consolidation of power. Stop taking the bait.

Fascist regimes exercise economic control over big companies. The regimes themselves—there’s no worker participation, as fascists don’t like organized labor or democracy. There’s no need to try to figure out some new theory of what this is. This has been done before, and it is fascism.

Not to overstate the obvious but this is such obvious bullshit. The Smithsonian African American History museum is curated in such a profound and thoughtful way, as to directly explore the history of slavery and Jim Crow side by side with the struggle towards freedom and progress.
White House official Lindsey Halligan: "While slavery is obviously a horrible aspect of our nation's history, you can't really talk about slavery honestly unless you also talk about hope and progress ... we need to stop focusing so much on the lack of progress."

An opposition party should make hay out of this- all the things resources are being pulled from for this, and for all the authoritarian redeployments of law enforcement and national guard.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s personal security requirements are straining the Army as it pulls agents from criminal investigations to safeguard family residences in Minnesota, Tennessee and D.C.
Hegseth’s expansive security requirements tax Army protective unit
The agency tasked with protecting Defense Department leaders is under significant strain, and the secretary’s atypical needs are becoming untenable, officials say.
