I think this was the point of the mail-in voting executive order. To lay down a BS predicate to throw out any election that uses any mail-in voting “because it violates the executive order”, throw it to the courts, seat a new congress in the meantime that just won’t allow them back in.

I often think of the GOP dinner held on the night of Obama’s first inauguration where they decided to reflexively oppose everything Obama was doing at the peak of the economic crisis, to deny him any bipartisanship when he was tripping over himself to include Republicans in his governing coalition.
