We don't talk enough about how any contact at all with the criminal punishment system can destroy your life. The arrest, the court dates, missing work and other associated costs etc... People who aren't proximate to this really have no idea.

The Sanctuary City vote LA City Council three hours after was essentially voided by our city attorney, Hydee Feldstein Soto, who said LAPD can continue to honor the ICE contract.
We are in no way by legal definition a sanctuary city because of our mayor and attorney.

Los Angeles is a sanctuary city and California is a sanctuary state. What we need is for @mayor.lacity.gov & @governor.ca.gov to ensure that local and state police do not assist ICE in any way.
