Don't know if anyone heard but the Canadian government culled 400 ostriches on a ranch in BC because of an avian flu outbreak, but not before the owners turned it into the usual anti-government culture-war BS. Anyhow, New Yorkers might be interested to see who tried to lobby against the cull:

My brother's 50th was on the weekend. My sister-in-law organized a surprise party with live music. I had never heard of the artist but his Wikipedia entry describes him as a Canadian GG Allin. I have many questions.
