Don't know if anyone heard but the Canadian government culled 400 ostriches on a ranch in BC because of an avian flu outbreak, but not before the owners turned it into the usual anti-government culture-war BS. Anyhow, New Yorkers might be interested to see who tried to lobby against the cull:

Ever notice that the packaging for giant chewy Sweet-Tarts says “enlarged to show texture” but the real thing is about twice the size of the image? Our kid did.

For those wondering, it’s a 1998 Duane Dmytryshyn Argos home jersey (sewn replica custom-ordered from the team store at SkyDome):

My wife's working on a new quilt and just realized she missed a row.
A partially completed quilt topper comprised primarily of 3” squares. The state of Michigan is rendered in a mix of blue patterns while the background is in neutrals. A strip of 13 squares through the heart of the lower peninsula is missing.

Toronto's Massey Hall at dusk, pre-renovation. It is a three-story red brick building designed in a late Palladian style with an elevated centre section. Fire escapes (since removed) form a triangle across the front of the building and a shield-shaped sign over the entrance reads “Massey Hall” in red neon with a red neon outline.
