Took to the House floor today because in just 2 weeks, 22 million Americans will see their premiums explode if Republicans refuse to act.

After 15 years, Republicans still have no plan — just higher costs and less coverage.

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

Even seemingly small administrative actions can profoundly harm individuals, shattering our sense of safety and fairness, while also eroding trust and normalizing discrimination.

History warns: stripping protections from one group puts everyone’s rights at risk.

Why should this matter beyond CDC? Targeting vulnerable groups isn’t just unethical; history shows it’s a hallmark of authoritarian regimes.

Nazis, for example, systematically oppressed and murdered disabled people to consolidate power.

Workplace attacks echo these patterns.

We’ve posted a lot lately about CDC denying reasonable accommodations to disabled employees -- e.g., telling a paraplegic person who normally teleworks to report to the office immediately or use leave.

Yes, that’s really happening.

Let’s talk a bit about why everyone should care.

For many GOP members, an expansion of abortion restrictions in Obamacare is a must-have in any tentative health care plan.
