The debate was sharp, occasionally heated, enlightening, and definitely amusing. The results were...resounding. Watch for yourself.

WE ARE STILL IN THIS.
Wipe your tears.
This is the difficult business of hope and defying expectation.
We do not give up.
We run through the tape.

Y’all aren’t allowed to throw in the towel until I do. 😉

Big breath. Locked in. Let’s do this.

the frenzy over the hunter biden pardon is a good reminder that the press knows how to make something a scandal and has decided that nothing trump does is truly deserving of that treatment

Remember the old-school Burkean conservatism that reminds us it's easier to tear down than to build? That.

one of my iron clad beliefs is that there are very few actual “schemes” in the world. instead, there are just a lot of stupid, venal people and quite a few of them hold positions of real power and authority
"Corporate leadership is as stupid as everyone else and freaked out about viral shoplifting videos" isn't as exciting as "the pharmacies are doing fascist performance art so they can uh murder all poor people" but sometimes things really are just stupid

low key the most egregious condescension is this idea that conservatives do not have agency and are not making choices but are purely reactive and have no mind of their own
if you live around conservatives, a common bumper sticker reads “liberalism is a mental disorder.” you’ll see effigies of dem politicians, unhinged screeds about satan-worshipping dems written on lawn signs. this stuff gets ignored while any hint of condescension from liberals is treated as endemic

It is past time to put to bed the idea that no man is above the law.
We Know Who’s to Blame for Trump’s Evasion of Justice. It Isn’t Jack Smith.
None of this was inevitable.

White masculinity is an identity, and playing up the defense of it — via the state, via norms, via violence — is identity politics.

Democrats don’t just need a 50 state strategy; they need a 365 strategy. No more reacting to politics. Set goals, know what you want to focus on every day, put that focus out first and leverage whatever wild shit Republicans are doing to make the point. Repeat until it’s drilled in.

It bears repeating that shit like OANN, Newsmax, Infowars, hell even Stormfront, NEVER had a paywall. Meanwhile you get 2 free NYT articles per year if you create an account and sign up via email and start your free trial by inputting your credit card information and email activation code and
ok, my hottest hot journalism take is that journalism which relies on paywalls for funding and restricts access to those who cannot afford it or otherwise just cannot be bothered to jump through the hoops to read that content is not accessible journalism, and access matters a ton right now.

Toxicologist here for any fluoride concerns! The amount of fluoride added to water to prevent tooth decay is so minuscule that—no matter your age, size, or health status—you would die from water poisoning long before you could ever even start getting toxicity from fluoride. Fluoridated water is safe
