The key is that in the extended cut you just have a lot of uses of it, like Jimmy McNulty and Bunk Moreland solving a shooting levels of use; a 90's indie crime film levels of use; hell, let David Milch take a pass at the script!
I'm so sorry to be the one to tell you this but none of your insertions of the fuck word into LotR quotes are good

The Simpsons from The Tracey Ullman Show must be the king of this, no?
NCIS is also fascinating because it's a spin off of a long dead progenitor

And Tiny Tim, who did not die. His feet are light and nimble. He never sleeps. He says that he will never die. He dances in light and in shadow and he is a great favorite. He never sleeps, Tiny Tim. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die.
And Tiny Tim, who did not die, was soon borne away by the waves, and lost in darkness and distance.

It is really hard to convey how much Star Wars broke people's brains on how to sell things to kids and that everything for decades had to have a lot of original fantasy/scifi lore in the hope that it would be the next thing thing that popped and let you retire to a private island by 40
The Berry Bears (1988-circa 1992): A line of fruit snacks, based around a fictional family/world of bear characters. Famous for the opaque pegasus pieces, representing the flying horse pet from the lore-and-magic filled commercials-- think Berenstain Bears meets Rainbow Brite.

Unlike everyone else, I would just notice that I am cooking my brain with cognitive offloading and simply not have it happen to me, because I am built different

Once again going to subtweet the popular leftists podcasters who not but a few weeks ago decided to yuk it up with someone who just happened to be the kind of leftist that hated liberals more than the right and now has taken a real public turn

Looking at the office shelf full of action figures and boxes of Blackwing pencils, tugging my collar nervously, “yeah, really weird example, yeah, haha”
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

My only contribution to video game price discourse is that I am old enough to remember when it was normal that a middle class kid got 1, maybe, maybe, 2 new games a year because of cost and games in absolute costs were about the same at the time as they are now; (1/x)

I did not realize my last two posts were both about Andor. I am really not a big Star Wars person

The evil office in Andor is nicer

The point of the Andor protest sign is that Disney owns Star Wars and ABC, its asking the people that did two things if they remembered they did two things; its not a sign of limited cultural references

The Venn diagram between those who look me dead in the eyes and tell me we have been living under a totalitarian system since 1776 and those who post online with the same self regard as if the internet was an unpopular high school paper at an alternative arts school in 1997 is a perfect circle

Even setting aside the policy part, politically, it is a real "what If we Willie Horton ourself? Checkmat!"

Voltaire might be the most misattributed writer on the internet; though it is impressive that it is not just one "type" of person that goes with the fake Voltaire quote - there is one for just about everyone

When did “little green men” stop meaning space aliens?
I too remember when Barack Obama (?) sent little green men into Crimea

This is a very specific subpost but any statistically meaningful difference between genders in upper body strength, etc. means nothing between a human and lion, bear, auroch, etc. and part of the point of tools is to shrink the difference between people

"Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M." is the rare title that can be both a Simon & Garfunkel album name and the name of a stage in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade Game

While it is not, not-important, I will note, as I do every 4 years, that the national American media and political junkies spend far to much time and thought thinking about the Mayor of NYC; think about the coverage vs. how they cover LA, Chicago, Houston, etc. or even vs. gov. races or (1/x)

In the early Mapquest era; I once had someone call me from a cell phone because they could not figure out DC so they needed me to get on Mapquest and give them turn by turn directions like I was a living Google map; I cannot imagine what that call must have cost
the angriest I’ve ever seen my dad was trying to navigate DC in the map era
The map era was terrible. You’d get lost at night, have to pull over, maybe the street signage wasn’t great. Just bad times.
