The 1 "NO" vote: Republican Clay Higgins of Louisiana
Rep. @raskin.house.gov has asked for a recorded vote on the Epstein Files bill.

That is occurring now.

Smart move by Raskin.

A reminder that seven years ago almost to the day, the CIA determined that Mohammed Bin Salman ordered the killing of @washingtonpost.com journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

I hired and worked with Jamal for a year.

A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

maybe create a policy that he opposes & it wouldn't be such an issue then 🤷🏾‍♂️
Shabana Mahmood asks MPs to stop mentioning Tommy Robinson's name (in relation to his support for her policies) as "he doesn't even think I am English. I find that offensive."

Fucking state of this 🤮
The Sun has been told Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will on Monday propose confiscating jewellery, watches, necklaces from asylum seekers to meet asylum costs

This reflects the most controversial aspect of the Danish scheme - the Jewellery Law. The toughest Labour MPs thought this was OTT

In case you haven't noticed, Sara Cox has been doing a roarsome, gruelling & incredible challenge; running five marathons in five days across northern England in aid for BBC Children in Need. So I used a bunch of skittles to spell out her name in honour of her achievements. We salute her always! 👏🏾💛

Nothing illustrates the arseholery of the IOC and the British Press more than the use of the image of a not-Trans woman to illustrate a story about trans women being banned (because there are no current trans women competing at this level)

The BBC has bigger impartiality problems than its coverage of Trump
It is the BBC’s entire governance structure–rather than individual stories–that should cause most concern

Throughout his tenure as BBC director general, Tim Davie has used his position to appeal to the worst people, presided over a load of political bias (eg on Gaza & too much Reform airtime) & overseen a loss of confidence. No matter however hard he tries, he still won't get it. Good riddance to filth.
