And those victims living with the physical and emotional damage which will affect their every day. Children become adults, they don't disappear at 16.
Apart from the ones who were disappeared of course
What bothers me most about the way people are discussing the Epstein files is that most seem to be treating the matters they address as things that occurred in the past, for which justice must be done, and not things continuing to happen, with children in urgent danger.

this may be a radical take BUT I think we should proceed cautiously with the rushed integration of half-cooked automation into problematic business sectors in a broadly-corrupt country without functional regulatory oversight

AI experts say it's only in it's infancy.
This is like asking an 8 year old to sort his wife's photos.
As he's an expert it's possible he didn't think of 15 years of his wife's stuff as precious.
The fact we keep photos online anyway is a shitbox waiting to happen. Our great grandkids won't know us

"Creating a poorer, more vulnerable migrant class of workers who have no long-term stake in our society worsens wages & conditions for everyone & increases resentment towards immigrants."
This. This. This.
@zoejardiniere.bsky.social is spot-on on why Government's hostile migration plans hurt us all.
Labour is creating a vulnerable migrant underclass
Chasing Reform on immigration will only entrench an unequal system and increase resentment

There's no reason to accept this as normal, though. Much of Starmer and Labour's unpopularity is not misfortune but his own doing. Mandelson was a choice. Consistently pursuing policy positions designed to appeal to people who will not vote for you - and alienating core supporters - is a choice.
Starmer's reported condition - incredibly unpopular, shorn of authority, probably un-reelectable and yet will stagger on for want of an alternative - is just the new normal of how Britain is governed. It was also true for two-thirds of May's premiership, half of Johnson's and all of Sunak's.

Pains me to say it but Kemi Badenoch is getting better and better. I used to think she was an idiot- but there's little in her press conference I'm rolling my eyes at. Her beliefs mainly - I don't share any beliefs- but her logic when dealing with questions and the problems in other parties...hmm
