My idol tbh
Moo Deng, the celebrity pygmy hippopotamus, celebrated her first birthday at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand on Thursday.

Read about Thailand’s most famous creature in this February dispatch: https://trib.al/XoUUafe
Moo Deng, the Toddler Hippopotamus, Is Still a Star
The pygmy hippopotamus, now 6 months old, is Thailand’s biggest celebrity, and the crowds keep flocking. What explains her charm?

I *know* whatever it's in is going to taste chalky and weird!
Anytime protein powder is used as an ingredient in something, I am immediately out.

This week on "Under the Radar": It's a term you've probably been hearing a lot about, but what exactly *is* natalism/pronatalism? We gathered some local experts to tell us about it and if there's a way to encourage population growth without sacrificing people's rights: www.wgbh.org/news/nationa...

I’m also going through my first “Sopranos” watch! The fashion and the interior design are such a terrific time capsule. And it’s so much funnier than I expected!
Working my way through my first-ever SOPRANOS watch, and it’s obviously great, but I’m especially charmed by the extent to which it’s a love letter to the then-new DVD format.

Check out this live-blog of today's public media testimony from @julito77.bsky.social, longtime UTR contributor and fellow Boston-based Latino journo.
My colleague @timkarr.bsky.social is also following the DOGE hearing on public media today.
Marjorie Taylor Greene opens the "DOGE subcommittee" hearing by suggesting that public funding for NPR & PBS is "frankly un-American."

I think she forgot the public polling where Americans routinely rank NPR & PBS as the most trusted brands, and taxpayer money “well spent.”
