LA needs a Blade Runner statue is all I’m saying.
The bronze statue depicting the eponymous cybernetic star of Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 set-in-Detroit sci-fi satire was installed in Eastern Market on Wednesday, nearly 15 years after someone proposed it in a viral social media post.

Jamelle has finally lost me. Solo was not good! And, Rogue One is unimpeachable!

Attack of the Clones take is correct.
i would push rogue one down and bring solo and the last jedi up. i’d also place attack of the clones at the bottom.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

NEW: a contractor is paying random people $300 to physically track immigrants for ICE. They're given addresses, vehicles, told to monitor the target. That information then goes back up to ICE. These are not licensed private investigators; members of the public

Will be amazing when SCOTUS realizes that Congress has other powers also.
Supreme Court justices of all stripes had some tough questions for the Trump administration, making pretty clear two things:

1. Tariffs are taxes
2. Congress has the power to tax, not the president

Skeptical Supreme Court Questions the Trump Administration Over Tariff Powers
Some of the administration's arguments contradicted President Donald Trump’s statements about raising revenue through tariffs.

basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

I mostly hate when people say what Black people can and can't do, even when it's a Black person saying it.
As in most American holidays... Black People are celebrating a day off
No black person should be celebrating thanksgiving anyhow. #beyhive

A day of murder, slaughter, and treachery?

Yeah, it was a day some slaves would attempt to escape the plantations however no.

So #BEYONCÉ, lemme get that sleigh’yoncé cap and thong set from aisle 4!

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Another expensive "solution" to replace fossil fuels that actually makes things worse.

So much wasted money as battery powered vehicles are cheaper and actual reduce emissions.

The decades long ethanol fiasco in the US should have been the end of biofuels but instead it was used as a model.
NEW: Biofuels globally emit more than the fossil fuels they replace, our latest study shows.

The first-of-a-kind study looks at global biofuels production today and the potential impacts of government biofuel targets.
