I mean, it doesn’t fix anything, but sitting on a rocking chair in upstate New York as it cools down quickly is pretty nice. May start a fire later. And listening to DJ Riz on @kexp is good too. I’ll be back in DC Saturday to fight the good fight.

Also if it was for hosting family for the weekend and for Easter gifts why was all the money still there and unspent in the EVENING of Easter? The weekend and Easter were over already at that point 😂

Just finished the last episode. Brilliant show.

Seeing retirement and other savings going down. Put off replacing big ticket items like cars. Layoffs because of lower demand…pretty easy math.
UAW chief Shawn Fain, on market turmoil:

Have any of these people read a single story from the healthcare.gov days? “How hard is it to build a website?” some idiots asked.
Am not joking that I've heard in at least a few agencies the DOGE folks literally think they can do a "sprint" and just rebuild the entire codebase for these antiquated systems in a month or two.
They are so out of their depth it'd be comical if it wasn't so alarming.

SCOOP: DOGE wants to rebuild SSA's codebase in months, risking benefits and system collapse, sources tell me.
The plan is to migrate all systems off COBOL quickly which would likely require the use of generative AI.
