Marine scientist and invertebrate proponent, currently describing a deep sea sponge. He/Him, 26. I mainly use this account to look at furry porn. 🔞 Check out my youtube! https://www.youtube.com/@arctonoevittata
Finished up with my first science conference! Based on what talks were there, 90% of animals are rockfishes, abalone, and clams. Also, people liked my sponge!

Communism *is* better than capitalism at depicting the spicules of Lycopodina Occidentalis.

"Forcipiform spicules" did they not call them forceps back in 1893? What next, anisocheliform spicules? Are the macrosclerisize spicules all subtylostyliform spicules?

A couple that have come up in my lab:

Flow rate drops regularly.

Temperature trial during blob.

Phacellophora polyps actually aurelia.

And one I spent a couple weeks on: No forceps in lycopodina.
In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.

Realized I never posted this here! A video I made for people who don't think they are a fish. Also explains cladistics.

I've known I'm bisexual for at least a decade. I've also been with my girlfriend (that I love and who is also bisexual) for 9 of those years, so calling myself bisexual feels unnecessary. But I am bisexual! And this makes it visible. So happy Bisexuality Visibility Day!

If I see one more depiction of a bloated blobfish corpse as if that's just how they look, I'm gonna pop someone's swim bladder myself. They're perfectly fine looking animals when they're not dead and decompressed. What other creature do we do this for???

I should not be allowed to draft Bloomburrow.

And here is a collage of the campaign's bosses! Metaphorical-biological shadows of what remains of humanity, along with the osprey occultist who wished to capture their power.

With the exception of the bird and the colored faces, this was made by liberal image-cutting (hopefully obviously).

Just saw a flock of 30 something rock doves. A good omen.

New DnD campaign, new character. Meet Axrthrra, a brass dragonborn bard who prefers figurative firebreathing, and served as her village's librarian. That is, until the one-per-family town draft begun, and her grandfather saw the training as a perfect way to get the musician to "man up."

The older cohort of bat rays at my local aquarium have been moved out of the touch tank, so they can get used to no pets and regrow their spines in preperation to be released back into the wild. <3

"The deep sea is scary" Agreed. The high pressure is terrifying.
"Deep sea animals are scary" What? Those guys? You could beat up 99% of them, easy. And the remaining 1% doesn't want to eat you, aside from maybe one of those huge squids. I'd feel safer near a Japanese spider crab than a big dog.

The first big roadblock in my thesis describing a new sponge: I can't find any forceps in this damn sponge! We have multiple pictures of them. Where are they???

It's rosy maple moth season in Virginia!! My favorite time of year! Can you believe we get to share a universe with this amazing species? It's like pink lemonade had a baby with a muppet.

If you ever correct someone on their inflection when saying Balatro, you'd better not go pronouncing Caeser like you're addressing Mr. Chavez.

Today, I got to read an economist's summary of a philosophy/history of science book written by a physicist, as assigned in a class about evolution and the ecological niche. I have yet to read a more infuriating paper for grad school.

Doctor Wynndeor Thongolir, master surgeon turned necromancer. Rebuilt himself to better perform his craft. Misses hunger and sleepiness, but it's worth it for the advancement of medicine.

This is a #DnD5e necromancy wizard I am currently playing in a villanous campaign.
