Fun fact. The lowest temperature every recorded in Singapore is 19°C, and the highest is 37°C.

Melbourne is going to beat both Singapore's lowest ever and highest ever temperature recorded, on the same day.
Melbourne being very Melbourne today.

Excitement will build for the cool change from 43°C down to 15°C. A 28°C differential.

And it’s raining now, despite what the forecast says.

Done! @admscentre.org.au can't wait for the next conference ✨
Done with the first half of @admscentre.org.au's Melbourne event today, discussing media networks and the dynamics of trust.
I'm reminded of @hankgreen.bsky.social's recent video discussing topics of a similar vein.
And, I'm eager for the second half ✨

Here are some paintings of the inner Melbourne suburb I live in, by the Cossack/Australian painter Danila Vassilieff - paintings from the 1930s into the late 1940s. Wonderful street scenes, children playing, people chatting on the street, dogs. Some quiet still remains, but now, cars are there.

The tram stop outside my office is wheelchair accessible but I can't get on any of the trams

One of the strangest things about #Melbourne #trams is the mismatch between trams and their platforms

www.abc.net.au/news/2024-11...
Melbourne's tram network has an accessibility mismatch
Half of Melbourne's tram routes aren't serviced by accessible trams. And even if they were, many stops are no use to wheelchair users.

The report showed that rental affordability in metro Melbourne has dropped by 6% over this year.

By popular request, here's how to add Bluesky replies as your blog's comment section!

This requires some technical know-how for now, but I'm hoping that we see some no-code solutions for this pop up soon, like Ghost or Wordpress plugins.
