If the DOJ can stall the release of the Epstein files into January, they could start using the infamous "we aren't allowed to do that in an election year" trick.

"The Supremacy Clause only affords immunity to federal officers from State criminal prosecution in the reasonable discharge of their duties, and not beyond,” Oregon AG reminds Pam Bondi/DOJ, and DHS.
Oregon's Attorney General and Portland area DAs just told the feds they'll prosecute excessive force by federal agents in the state—citing evidence from the trial that shut down Trump's National Guard plan for Portland.
Oregon to Feds: Rein in Your Officers or We'll Prosecute

I assume Rush Hour 4 will fix this.
Average electricity cost increase since Jan:

Missouri ⬆️ 37%
Iowa ⬆️ 30%
North Dakota ⬆️ 30%
Oklahoma ⬆️ 30%
New Jersey ⬆️ 27%
Nebraska ⬆️ 25%
Montana ⬆️ 25%
Wyoming ⬆️ 23%

NATIONWIDE ⬆️ 11%

Instead of working to lower costs, Trump is boosting power-hungry AI data centers.

Are they getting the message?
A Democrat who was elected sheriff in Pennsylvania this month hopes others are watching: “It sends a message to elected public safety officials across the country that partnering with ICE is a loser in a district that’s remotely a swing district.”
Voters Ousted This Pennsylvania Sheriff After He Signed Up to Collaborate With ICE
A populous swing county replaced its GOP sheriff on Tuesday after months of controversy over his joining ICE’s 287(g) program. The Democratic winner promises he’ll end the contract.

Cancel your WaPo subscription and send your money to an outlet that *doesn't* actively hate its readers.

ProPublica, Liberal Currents, Flaming Hydra, your local paper or alt weekly, whatever. Anything but this.
At this point, the Washpost edit page is just trolling its readers.

This is today's actual house editorial.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.
