It feels like a lot of people forget about that prison guard experiment that shows no matter who they are, most men given power over others in cells will blossom into assholes. That's why we need structure and laws and boundaries. ICE has none of that.

Advice for talking to homeless people: a lot of what they say may be made up in attempt to hook your sympathy and you wallet but it doesn't matter what's true, you can talk to them anyway like a real human. On some deep level it matters that other people be willing to speak to them.

I think when they sedate you for a colonoscopy they must slip something into your brain because there are way too many men who turn 50 and suddenly think being conservative is they most Yoda move possible. Some do a full 180° from progressive thinking. Scares the hell out of me.
