Please meditate on this fact:
In family gatherings, social media apps, and workplace conversations... it's NOT your duty to make MAGAs comfortable with the results of what they've done. You may have the gift of diplomacy and a forgiving heart... but it's not the burden of victims to sooth abusers.

Democrats:
What if you got $500/mo baseline income to spend on food, mortgage, rent or whatever mattered to your family?
Republicans:
What if your mortgage was 50 years?

The corruption of Trump's administration has crossed a line past where it's even possible to explain it to MAGAs. They don't understand or care, and the frequency of it makes it feel commonplace or historically appropriate.

I think Trump's disgust with air traffic controllers not coming to work exposes a weakness in the oligarchy: they NEED airplanes and airports. That's how they navigate safely through a world that hates them. We should be protesting at the private jet branches of major airports?

Never forget that our micro disappointments with some Democrats is a side narrative to the fact that Trump is massively corrupt, elected Republicans are complicit, and MAGA Americans are objectively ignorant racist garbage, and almost everything awful comes from what we call "conservatism".

We're debating on the government funding package right now and every single Republican voted against a Democratic amendment to pass a clean, one-year extension of the ACA tax credits.
Republicans just don't care about your health care.

🚨 The shutdown isn’t over. The Senate vote was a procedural step, not a deal. Nothing is reopening. Nothing is fixed. Eight Democrats helped move an old GOP bill while families go unpaid and SNAP stays frozen.
Flood the lines. Call your Senators.

This is how I feel but I'm not getting any love for similar takes.
What actually happened is that Republicans held a gun to the head of Democrats and said, "Choose between starving kids and healthcare costs."
But why would journalists ever hold Republicans accountable for their hostage-taking tactics?

It's interesting that the main reaction today... is that voters should show up next year and do big things. We know Democrats don't vote unless they're angry (campaign fact). It's possible they're literally trying to funnel and prolong rage for Nov 2026.

Suppose that regardless of what happens in the Senate, Mike Johnson has been told to keep the House shuttered until 2030.

Imagine missing a SNAP payment and watching the president confirm it's his fault, and your reaction is that you love him for it. These people are not intelligent.

It scares the hell out of me that people can change suddenly. Become MAGA, adopt bigoted views, abandon selflessness and hurt people they love. Many grow into it but some flip almost instantaneously, specifically men around age 50. What's the deal with that?

Still creeped out by how quickly Elon Musk inserted himself into the government, stole every database, then ran away and stopped going on camera. Maybe someday we'll fully understand what he did and who he sold it to.

Shrug while they dismantle the ACA but when pre-existing conditions return, and your 20yo kids can't join your coverage anymore, it's too late to say "I didn't know that was part of it!!"
