In another update, the Guard indicates troops “continue efforts to restore and beautify public spaces across the District” and have “cleared 906 bags of trash, spread 744 cubic yards of mulch, removed five truckloads of plant waste, cleared 3.2 miles of roadway, and painted 270 feet of fencing.”

Going on vacation tomorrow so spent Saturday night making maps of all the places in Ohio, West Virginia and South Carolina with higher violent crime and murder rates than D.C. Perhaps better places for those governors to focus resources!

I wonder if my American friends understand how much Trump has destroyed the US as a travel destination. People are legitimately afraid that they might be detained for weeks in conditions that violate human rights standards, and have no idea how to avoid that outcome. So they aren't coming.
