Canada is on fire.
The national media is focused on building pipelines for national unity.
Oil production is at record levels.
We are back of the pack in the G7 for failing all our environmental goals.
My latest on Canada's oil obsession.

I do not understand why we are not collectively freaking out.
“From 1981 to 2015, there were an average of 18 smoke hours per year in the city of Calgary. No year had over 100.

Now we see hundreds of smoke hours routinely: 315 in 2017, 450 in 2018, 439 in 2021, 512 in 2023, and 2024 was ‘only’ 200.”

No words, Alberta, no words. Just look at the numbers. Will it take the deaths of children for y'all to get sorted out? Perhaps it will be the child out of this cohort of over 700 measles cases that develops encephalitis that will make a difference in vaccination rates.

With 710 measles cases now confirmed in Alberta, this marks the worst year since 1986 | CBC News
Alberta has now confirmed 710 measles cases so far this year, according to new data released Monday, surpassing the 690-case mark set in 1987.

I do not care if Canada post is ever profitable. It is a public service, everyone owns it. That’s valuable in and of itself.
We don’t ask the emergency room or public schools to turn a profit.
We ask them to be accessible for everyone to use.

This is an important episode, #ableg. Highly recommend.

We need to stay loud in our demands for a full, public inquiry into the AHS contract procurement scandal, what the Premier knew and when she knew it, & how she can justify $70 million for unapproved meds that are now sitting in storage.

New episode!

We go over our most recent FOIP results with another deep dive on Danielle Smith's disastrous childrens medication purchase as well as the implications on the former AHS CEO's lawsuit!

While people are posting outrage over Pierre Poilievre billing the Canadian taxpayer around $8.9 million just for his living expenses in 2024, I think it's more effective to point out that this equates to over $24,000 per day.

Per.

Day.

$24,000. Every single day, including weekends.

Carrie Tait of the G & M notwithstanding, media have gone all in on the separatist distraction.

The AHS scandal is the ONLY THING we should be focusing on. It is the reason the Premier is willing to set Alberta ablaze.

It’s all in an effort to save her own lying ass. Period.
