UPDATE: Boasberg orders the parties to submit plans for the "inquiry regarding a potential contempt referral," by tomorrow, "including names of possible witnesses and dates for hearings." (ACLU's Lee Gelernt smartly suggested waiting on the mandate from the DC Circuit before issuing any orders.)

Yup. He bent on extending subsidies (with some minor caveats) and the GOP congress pushed back hard. CNN had to stop reporting on the plan *mid-report.*

So much for the "they'd be reasonable if only Trump weren't forcing them to be monsters" argument. GOP lawmakers are monstrous all on their own.

Our insurance costs (home, health and auto) have gone up substantially this year. The increase is equivalent to some people's mortgages. I don't know how people are surviving this. Talking a lifetime of frugality being erased by greed.

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle has had 6 patients since June with a rare fungal infection.

Mucormycosis has a fatality rate of about 50% and strikes the immunocompromised.

Unrelated: Harborview rang a bell and sure enough one of the first U.S. patients died of COVID19 there.
